A Hundred Thousand Islands for My Queen

I have been trying to come up with some sweet nonsenses about white beaches and beautiful tourist resorts that I can comfortably fit a Timbu link into. I am tired of overthinking this, frankly. Also, I am a little cranky right now thanks to incessant sleeplessness imposed on me by various responsibilities I have to be juggling like I am a freaking circus act! grinds teeth and exhales sharply I am calm now. I am calm.

I have been up all night doing this task and, save for the time I -in the capacity as Defense Minister of my hall of residence, Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall, UI- went on my daily patrol with my team between 3-5am, I haven't left my system for one moment. It has been over 6 hours and I cannot come up with one simple blog post I consider decent enough to be published. This is trying for me (to put it mildly) because I fancy myself a perfectionist of sorts. Mediocre does not cut it for me. You do it really well or you do not do it at all. I do not have much of a choice now, do I? It is another day already and my responsibilities are waiting for me, expectantly. sighs deeply

Well, let me talk about the place I have decided to reference in my blog task, Maldives. Why there? Because I promised my woman that I would take her "...on a vacation to a place with nice beaches and the kids would run on white sands and we would forget about the rest of the world and be lost in the vivid consciousness of our own selves." Yes, I said that to her. This place supposedly has a hundred thousand islands. Well, 1192 actually, but who is counting? Not me and definitely not my Queen. I just want to treat her right and take her to see the world in all its fantastic beauty.
